Route perspective
Seasonal flood patterns vary by area and do not mirror local rainfall in a simple way. We consider the activities, wildlife priorities and atmosphere of each concession rather than selecting a camp by name alone.
Light-aircraft transfers are part of the journey. A good route limits unnecessary camp changes and ensures that arrival and departure times leave meaningful time in the field.
Planning the journey
Some areas emphasize floodplains and boating; others provide stronger dry-land drives or walking. Water levels and activity availability can change.
We combine complementary habitats so that the safari develops rather than repeating the same experience at each stop.
Vehicle capacity, private vehicle rules, guiding teams and room access affect the day. We check these against family needs, photography priorities and mobility.
Salt pans and desert-edge landscapes can create a powerful seasonal counterpoint to the Delta when timing supports it. The additional flights must still earn their place.
